I always wanted to make art, and I’ve been working in ceramics for over twenty five years. I was never a traditional potter. Rather, I’ve focused my work on taking everyday household objects, like tools, paintbrushes, and bowls, items more recognized for their utility than their beauty, and repurposed them in a different medium, turning them into something decorative and beautiful. I slip cast objects in low fire clay, often adding additional texture and color with a variety of glazes and materials.

My studio is at Lillstreet Art Center in the Ravenswood Neighborhood on the north side of Chicago. You’ll find me there when I’m not taking my kids to and from school, or going to see live music.

I graduated with a BFA from the University of Hartford, and MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
